Sonata declares Second Quarter Results 2005-2006

Sonata declares Third Quarter Results - Sonata net up 68% .
Mumbai, January 16, 2006.

The Board of Directors, at its meeting held here today, took on record the Audited Accounts of Sonata Software Ltd for the Quarter & Nine Months ended 31st December 2005.

Sonata Software Limited consolidated Revenue was Rs. 1,274.48 million for the Quarter ended 31st December 2005 as compared to Rs. 876.83 million for the same Quarter last year. PAT was at Rs. 85.07 million for the Quarter ended 31st December 2005 as compared to Rs. 32.24 million for the same Quarter last year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. B. Ramaswamy, President & Managing Director stated, "This is the 10th consecutive quarter of growth. It is a vindication of the growth strategy being pursued by the company."

• Cash generation from operations for the Quarter ended was Rs.112.91 million.
• The Company added 153 employees during the quarter, taking the total to 1549.
• Receivables as number of day's sales have reduced from 81 to 73 days.
