Sonata declares First Quarter Results 2007-2008

Sonata Software Ltd. announced that it will set up its second development center in Hyderabad as part of its growth strategy. The Company has been allotted 7 acres of land in SEZ being set up by the government of Andhra Pradesh, for setting up an IT campus. The land is located in the emerging IT hub at Kokapet, near Gachhi Bowli, in Hyderabad.

Sonata plans to invest Rs. 100 Crores to build the state-of-the-art campus, which will function as a dedicated facility for its global clients. Speaking to the newsmen in Hyderabad, Mr. B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, Sonata Software Ltd. said, "We have had excellent experience with our first facility in Hyderabad and are pleased that we shall now be setting up the second facility here. The new campus will help extend our world-class infrastructure to support our future growth plans". This center will have a capacity of 2600 IT professionals.

Sonata's present facility in Hyderabad has state-of-the-art infrastructure, computing and working environment. Situated 1.3 kms from Hyderabad Airport, this development center plays host to some of Sonata Software's key international clients, managing their enterprise application and IT infrastructure. This center has set new standards in providing a conducive environment for employees and its facilities include an expansive cafeteria, club, help desk, training centers, guest houses, etc. This center has a capacity of 800 people.

Sonata has been on a path of accelerated growth for the last several years. During the period FY04-07 its consolidated Total Income grew at a CAGR of 60%, EBIDT grew at a CAGR of 76% and PAT grew at a CAGR of 69%. In FY07, the Company posted a Total Income of Rs.914.43 crores, EBIDT of Rs.98.66 crores and PAT of Rs.48.03 crores.

In September, 2006, Sonata's growth plans got a major boost when it acquired 50.1% stake in TUI Infotec, an IT company headquartered in Hannover. TUI Infotec is an IT service provider for TUI AG and its subsidiaries in Germany, France, Sweden, UK, Spain and other parts of Europe.

TUI Infotec has outstanding capabilities in remote infrastructure management and domain knowledge in verticals like travel, tourism, airlines and hospitality as well as expertise in horizontals like enterprise application, web application, business intelligence and legacy application management.
