D.V.S.S.R. Murthy heads the Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) business group at Sonata. In this role, he is responsible for delivery and business development of the IMS group.

Murthy specializes in IT Service Management and carries close to three decades of rich experience in the areas of Service Support, Service Delivery, Project Management and IT Consultancy.

Murthy joined Sonata in 2006 and has been instrumental in the transitioning of IT Operations services from Sonata's subsidiary TUI InfoTec in Germany to offshore.

Prior to joining Sonata, Murthy was the Regional Head -- Customer Services for the Strategic Business Unit of CMC Ltd. for Andhra Pradesh. He worked with CMC Ltd. for more than 25 years in various capacities. During his stint with CMC, Murthy implemented a number of large IT infrastructure projects across the country and provided valuable service support to more than 100 large customers. He is also credited with initiating the implementation of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices in CMC Ltd.

Murthy holds a Master's degree in Science from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is a Senior Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and a Member of the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF).

Murthy lives in Hyderabad with his wife Sri Valli. His son Arun is pursuing Master's in Business Administration at the Oklahoma City University, USA and daughter Kadambini is pursuing Master's in Social Work at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

In his free moments, Murthy likes to read, listen to music and meditate.
