Mahesh Shastry heads the Global business for Sonata Software's Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) vertical. Professionally qualified with an MBA from University of Bradford UK (NIMBAS Campus) and a Bachelor in Physics and Mathematics, he has 20 years of experience in business management both for IT services, products and solutions especially in airlines, airport and travel companies.

Prior to joining Sonata, Mahesh was the SVP, Global Head TTL for NIIT Technologies as his first stint upon return to India. His 16 years with Emirates Group IT in Dubai since 1991 mirrored the growth of the airline manifold, and he has been associated with its IT business Mercator since its inception in 1998. Over the years, Mahesh has successfully developed software solutions, managed implementation projects at airlines across the globe and won a number of large strategic sales accounts for Mercator and NIIT.

Having recently joined Sonata Software, Mahesh is now responsible for the business development of Sonata's global sourcing services and solutions to the TTL industry. Mahesh is focusing on giving a larger visibility of the combined capabilities of Sonata Software and its subsidiary TUI InfoTec, based on the excellent feedback received from leading organizations. Mahesh, his wife Ramya and two sons (Rethvik and Sathvik), now live in Bangalore, India.
