Sonata Software Joins Microsoft Mainframe Migration Alliance (MMA)

Sonata Software Ltd. (Sonata) today announced it is joining the newly formed Microsoft Mainframe Migration Alliance (MMA). This alliance, which brings together platform leaders, tools and technology developers and global system integrators, aims to enable the cost-effective migration of applications from legacy mainframe systems onto the latest Microsoft technologies. Sonata brings to this alliance, strong competencies in Microsoft technologies and a unique .NET migration framework –eNAbLE© - along with its proven global delivery model.

With the launch of Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition, this server operating environment is becoming a “platform of choice” for customers, who are looking to modernize their legacy systems. Re-deploying mainframe legacy assets to newer, industry standard platforms reduces the Total Cost of Ownership, by delivering lower operational costs. These new technologies provide enhanced business flexibility, through component-based architectures that enable rapid implementation of business changes.
