Sonata Software Limited today reported its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2009, ended December 31, 2008.

Revenues for Sonata Software (Consolidated) was at Rs. 387.75 Cr., a YoY increase of 7% Net Profit after Tax for Sonata Software (Consolidated) was at Rs. 19.90 Cr., a YoY increase of 27%. ROCE Sonata Software (Consolidated) was 30.21% as compared to 24.87% for the same quarter of last year.

Commenting on the results, Mr. B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, Sonata Software Limited said, "The results reflect the focus on delivering business value to customers on an ongoing basis, along with improvement in operational efficiency."

Sonata is partnering a leading Danish company to build the next version of their software products for the utilities sector.

In the continued effort to add value to customers in the TTL (Travel, Transportation and Logistics) domain, Sonata has developed a web assessment matrix tool kit that can access Travel websites on different aspects of website performance, like usability, functionality, and Travel 2.0 features. The tool kit also checks websites for security related compliances.

A leading general insurance company has contracted Sonata to implement Oracle Applications in their business units across several countries in APAC through adoption of standardized business process and best practices.

 

The efforts of Sonata's subsidiary Company TUI InfoTec GmbH, Germany to get external customers in Germany is making progress.
