Sonnettest   Sohrab Kakalia

Sohrab Kakalia is the Chief Sales & Commercial Officer of Sonata Software. With over 25 years of experience, he is recognised as an innovation and strategy Leader across the industry.


In his role, Sohrab drives hyper growth across Sonata enterprise by leading new business sales and account management globally, select existing key accounts, and the global marketing function.


Prior to Sonata, he led the Technology Consulting practice globally at Infosys where he increased new solution business, sales, and new client acquisitions exponentially. In this role, he delivered architecture, digital strategy (portal, commerce, and security), Retail, High performance computing and BI/Analytics initiatives. He led the team that executed world-class transformation projects in a highly matrixed organization, increased capability, capacity, sales and reference-ability year-on-year.


Earlier, at PSI Data Systems, Sohrab was a hardware and VLSI engineer in process control and automation and rapidly built businesses around Banking, Oil and Gas, Satellite and Space and Telecom.


With a B-Tech in Computer Science from Mumbai University, he has also successfully completed an Executive Management Certificate course from Harvard Business School. A recipient of the Life time achievement award from PSI and Bull, Sohrab is passionate about cooking, outdoors sports and doing his bit for a greener environment.
