PowerApps: 1-Wk Proof of Concept

Develop an app on PowerApps for one of your business process with the limited features. The app will be built around a real business case or process of your choice.

This one week proof of concept app development process will use a business process of your choice to build a basic PowerApp. Your new app will be a working solution that you can use to automate your process and showcase it within your organization.

Agenda

• Develop a PowerApp which supports one of your company's business processes and is interactive and integrated with other components
• Integration into an end-to-end solution, including testing and handover
• Assess the capabilities and value of PowerApps to drive your digital business process transformation.

Deliverables

• Developed and tested app, with limited functionalities, for a business process of your choice
• High-level architecture diagram for the mobile app
• Technical feasibility details and approach to the app development

Prerequisite

• Use case to be finalized for which the app needs to be developed

Automate Asset Management: 3-Wk Assessment

Automate moving from Microsoft ISV add-on EAM solution to the standard 'Asset Management Add-in' for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

Microsoft’s transformative EAM solution brings together the best of what Microsoft provides in Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power BI, IoT, MR, ML, and Dynamics 365 for Field Service applications to provide a modern, connected solution for organizations that manage assets in customer locations. Microsoft’s Asset Management works ‘out of the box’ for Finance and Supply Chain Management for up to 100 assets.

Automated migration from Microsoft ISV add-on EAM solutions to the new standard in D365 is possible with purpose-built migration tools. Step 1 is to assess your readiness to

• upgrade current AX versions to Dynamics 365
• migrate from any third-party EAM solution to the standard 'Asset Management Add-in' for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

The 3-week assessment will determine the feasibility of automated upgrade, the effort to upgrade, and the amount of customizations that can be re-used to reduce the time to adopt the standard in Dynamics 365 for the Supply chain. The key deliverables are a solution approach, an estimate of cost and time.

RPA in Day – 3 Step Process

• Discovery Step - Sonata would work with customer to identify the right process (use case) for RPA automation, ascertain the suitability for RPA and highlight the benefits RPA can provide
• Engineering of Bot - Sonata would work with customer in demonstrating the engineering the Bot. During this exercise customer would be made aware of basics of RPA and aspects pertaining to developing an end-end flow of identified use case using Power Automate. Depending on the use case the below aspects would be demonstrated
  • Setting up basic workflow, different types of flows and approval
  • Demonstration of Integration using API Connectors
  • Document Extraction using AI Builder (depending on the use case)
  • Demonstration of Data Entry into a web application/client server using Power Automate Desktop (Win automation)
  • Demonstration of Data Storage using Common Data Services/ Data Verse
  • Demo of business rules/decision making by the Bot
• Demo of the Bot and Next Steps - This would involve demonstration of the automated process and brain storm on the next steps for automation journey for the organization

Assumptions / Pre-Requisites

• We would have initial discussions to present our Point of View and agree on the area where we need to spend time for ideating on the relevant use case (Customer Service, Finance, Support, HR, etc)
• Availability of key Business Process Owner/Sponsor from the relevant business unit to ideate the relevant use cases and to help  prioritize during the workshop
• For the finalized/identified use case, we would need to scope the current As-is business process with corresponding business rule. Having relevant documents pertaining to the business process such as SOP or User Manual during the workshop  would help in engineering the same
• Sample documents and Environments (Test/Dev) related to the use case need to be present for the identified use case
• User access to be provided to environment(s) and integrating applications related to the use case (can be temp account) 
• Assume the required tools/licenses are made available (depending on the technology of preference)
• We would need test data (1-2 documents or test scenarios) to validate the working of Bot after the engineering
